The most common homeowner fix is to simply lubricate the roller or track the best you can.

Give the screw a clockwise turn and test to see whether the door slides easier.
Raise it just enough to clear the track and roll smoothly.

Rollers that are underneath the sliding door inside the frame tend to wear out making the slider hard to open.
If the door becomes even harder to open turn the screw in the opposite direction.
This will retract the rollers and make the door flush with the track.
